Pattern-making Workshop Spring


This workshop is designed for those wanting to design and create their own fashion piece completely from scratch. In this class you will learn the fundamentals of flat pattern making working with your own personal measurements to create a block and turn it into a wearable garment.

This workshop is great for students wanting to go into fashion school at Tafe’s or University, the knowledge you will learn from these workshops will be valuable throughout the rest of your dressmaking path ahead of you.

The schedule:

9:30am – 3:00pm High intensity thinking class. Learning the process of designing a garment, starting with creating your blocks, making a toile, alterations, measuring bodies, drafting your design, analysing design & process with specification sheets, creating patterns and turning it into a garment. Along the way of constructing your design, you will also learn little tips and tricks of the trade.

12:30 – 1:00pm Lunch Break - Each student will need to bring lunch with them, Tea and coffee is provided.

Please bring a mechanical pencil, clear 90degree angle ruler and rubber, you can purchase pattern making kits here.
